Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Assistant Executive Director, the Hospital Administrator (HA) is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling for all administrative operations and support services for the Department of State Hospitals-Coalinga and serves as the Chief Administrative Officer. The HA also ensures expenditures are accountable, adhered to or adjusted accordingly, and do not exceed the annual budget allocation; and ensures allocation of funds to proper needs, and improve tracking and reporting to ensure fiscal transparency and accountably.

The HA is a member of the Executive Management Team and participates in the policy formulation and decision-making for the DSH-Coalinga. The HA provides management interface between the DSH- Sacramento Office and program staff as determined by the Executive Director; and sustains a culture of collaboration and transparency. The HA may represent the Executive Director during Governing Body meetings.
