Inclusion and Belonging Manager Location Remote in Georgia :

Location: Hoboken, NJ or US Remote

As the Manager of Inclusion and Belonging- US you will be responsible for driving external and internal diversity, equity and inclusion programs and practices within North America. In alignment with the Global Inclusion and Belonging office, you will assist in the operationalizing of corporate-wide programs, coordinate collaboration opportunities, and incorporate and share best practices. In this role you will work hand in hand with the VP of DEI , Employee Resource Groups, business leaders, stakeholders, and global People organization, to ensure alignment of our Inclusion and Belonging approach and priorities while assisting with creation and execution of actions that foster an inclusive community. You will provide support to head of Inclusion and Belonging to help create an environment where all colleagues can thrive, a diverse and inclusive workforce and further equity in the markets we operate in.

How you will make an impact:

  • Partner with Global VP of DEI , People Organization global colleagues to organize and execute on external DEI initiatives.
  • Partner with DEI, HRBP and RLT to organize and manage internal DEI initiatives within North America
    • Support a team of DEI volunteers in North America to execute DEI initiatives with a global mindset that adjusts to local needs.
    • Help develop and monitor key DEI KPIs to align with key initiatives.
  • Develop and implement Employee Resource Group engagement plans.
    • Build relationships with Employee Resource Group leaders.
    • Develop and implement Research Leadership Team strategy to further engage and champion ERG efforts.
    • Amplify ERG efforts and communications to bring ERGs to life in Research.
  • Improve Colleague Engagement, Inclusion and Belonging
    • Partner with HRBP to analyze Glint results, plan and execute follow up actions.
    • Identify Shaping Wiley trends and drive action planning to address opportunities.
    • Organize quarterly sessions regarding colleague feedback, community plans and inclusive practices; plan and execute follow up initiatives.
  • Community Strategy
    • Drive inclusion and belonging through defined activities that build community.
    • Build community plan and partner with resources in the business to execute.
  • Communication Plan
    • Organize colleague outreach communication efforts; listening sessions, colleague care, lunch and learns, community building.
    • Assist in crafting and sharing progress updates and DEI information/events.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proven track record working directly or indirectly within the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion space, driving initiatives, project management experience business level implementations and change management across multiple stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding/experience on how business teams collaborate to drive results.
  • Understanding of professional discipline of diversity and diversity management as it relates to societally significant differences including, but not limited to, race and ethnicity, gender and gender identity, sexual-orientation, age, religion, disability, socio-economic status, political affiliation, country of origin, and immigration status.
  • Experience working with a Global Workforce.
  • Experience creating and executing diversity strategies.
  • Experience leveraging data to measure success of existing initiatives and inform opportunities for new initiatives.
  • Understanding of best practices and trends in diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a strong track record of translating into an actionable strategy and driving action across various teams.
