IOP OBGYN Phlebotomist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our
fast-paced OBGYN office. This role involves drawing patients' blood and
performing specimen processing in a clinical setting. The position is vital for
the collection and receipt of biological specimens, ensuring accurate entry
into the computer system, and preparing samples for analytical testing. You
will also be responsible for performing specified analytical testing and
distributing specimens to the appropriate analytical areas.
Responsibilities
+ Draw patients' blood and perform specimen processing in a doctor's office setting.
+ Collect and receive biological specimens into the department.
+ Ensure proper entry of specimens into the computer system.
+ Prepare samples for analytical testing.
+ Distribute specimens to the proper analytical area.
+ Perform specified analytical testing as assigned.
+ Adhere to the guidelines of the Code of Conduct.
Essential Skills
+ Prior phlebotomy experience is required.
+ Proficient in blood draw and specimen collection.
+ Experienced in laboratory and phlebotomy tasks.
+ Excellent specimen processing skills.
+ Strong patient care capabilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ GED or High School Diploma required.
+ Energetic personality and integrity are crucial.
+ Great customer service and top-notch skills.
+ Ability to work closely with Medical Assistants.
Work Environment
The position is based in a busy OBGYN office, working
closely with physicians and Medical Assistants.
The work hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:30 AM to
5:30 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The
environment is fast-paced, requiring energetic and customer-oriented
individuals. Dress code is professional as you represent the clinic in patient
interactions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.36/hr.
